Welding blankets drape over workbenches, equipment, floors, and other surfaces to protect against damage caused by exposure to nearby welding heat, sparks, spatter, and sometimes slag. Welding blankets are also used under welding pads in heavy and extreme welding applications.
This welding blanket is solvent-, chemical-, and oil-resistant. Its non-slip surface is safe to walk on, and it is non-toxic. When used outdoors, it forms a barrier and is UV- water- and fungus-resistant. Made with high-temperature R51 silicone-coated fibreglass, it can withstand temperatures up to 1750 Degrees F. With grommets at four corners, it is 54 x 72 inches, and has a material weight of 32 ounces per square yard. It is abrasion-resistant, and does not fray or unravel when cut.
