Helical Inserts

Helical inserts install into openings in a mounting surface and provide new female threads for installing male-threaded fasteners. They use a coiled wire design that engages the mounting surface and provides a female-threaded opening. Their design allows them to be used for repairing stripped holes, strengthening an existing hole, converting an existing hole to a smaller size, and adding threading to a non-threaded opening.
