Also known as electrically powered chain hoists, they raise, lower, and position loads in applications where materials and equipment move occasionally. Chains pull through sprockets that turn gear systems to lift and lower loads in warehouses, machine shops, fabricating plants, assembly facilities, and auto mechanic shops. They withstand high temperatures and abrasive loads: however, they can mar and damage sensitive loads.
