SpeedTime delay fuses allow temporary inrush currents to pass the fuse without operating, but the fuse will blow on sustained overloads and short circuits. They're used with equipment that requires a high inrush current to start.

Fast acting fuses, also known as single-element or non-delay fuses, have no intentional time delay and are used with equipment that is sensitive to changes in current.

Very fast acting fuses have a faster response to overloads and short circuits than fast-acting fuses. They protect components that can't withstand line surges, low value overloads, or short-circuit currents.

Done

AmpsFuse Amps refers to the maximum amount of current the fuse is designed to pass through. Amps may be shown using the letter A within a series number. For example, 10A, LP-CC-10, and MDA-10-R are all 10 amp fuses.

Body Style

Done

Body StyleCylindrical is circular throughout the length of the fuse. Blade, or Knife Blade, is cylindrical in the centre with flat ends (blades). Bolt-On is similar to Blade but has holes in the blades to bolt the fuse to the holder.

Cartridge is an automotive style and is rectangular with female terminals. The body is typically colour-coded by amp rating. Pin has small pin-style contacts that are unique to telecom-style fuses.

Plug-In is a block style with electrical contacts on the backside of the body, which provide finger-safe protection. Screw-In fuses, sometimes called plug fuses, screw into a standard Edison base socket.

British & IEC Fuses

British and IEC fuses meet British, IEC, or other non-US standards for low-voltage, general purpose overcurrent protection. They're used to prevent electrical damage in HVAC and lighting equipment that's typically of European or Canadian origin.
