Les gants en maille résistants aux coupures sont conformes aux normes ANSI/ISEA 105 pour la protection des mains contre coupures/abrasions/lacérations/piqûres lors de la manipulation d'objets tranchants. La structure en fibres filées permet aux gants en maille d'épouser la forme de la main. La classification ANSI/ISEA indique le niveau de protection assuré. Les gants avec un indice de protection élevé contre les coupures sont en général moins souples que ceux dont le chiffre est plus bas.
