Torx Keys
Torx keys, also known as star bits, have a six-point star-shaped pattern where the tip at the end of the shaft is inserted into the Torx indentation in the screw and the key is turned to rotate the screw. Torx tips provide a more secure grip on the fastener head, increase torque transfer, and are less likely to slip out of the head and damage the screwhead and adjacent surfaces compared to slotted head or Phillips head fasteners.
