Three-Piece Tap Kits
These kits each contain three straight-flute taps. The taps all have the same thread size, thread length, and overall length, but each has a different style of chamfer. One has a taper chamfer, one has a bottoming chamfer, and one has a plug chamfer. Straight-flute taps are turned with a tap wrench to create or repair internal threads in blind holes and through holes. As the taps are rotated into a hole to create threads, the chips move into the flutes but are not evacuated.
