Metal-Cutting Hole Cutters

Metal-cutting hole cutter kits cut holes through sheet metal and other thin metal workpieces. They are commonly used to make knockouts for conduit and wiring in electrical boxes and panels. Hole cutters have a circular cutting edge to remove a core of material, creating larger holes in less time and with greater ease than drill bits. They connect to power drills via hole saw arbours and cut as they rotate. Pilot drill bits attach to arbours to make starter holes that centre the hole cutter and guide the cut.
