Material-Removing Files for Aluminum

Specialized cutting teeth on these files abrade aluminum without clogging and produce better results than files not dedicated to aluminum filing. They break up chips and swarf to keep the file clear and reduce chattering to avoid over filing. Files for aluminum remove material to smooth and shape castings, sheets, bars, and other workpieces. These American-pattern files abrade material more aggressively than Swiss-pattern files used for precision filing and finer finishes.
