High-Performance Spiral-Point Taps for Nickel & Titanium
These high-performance spiral-point taps provide better precision and accuracy than general purpose spiral-point taps when used for threading holes in nickel and/or titanium. High-performance spiral-point taps are harder and more wear-resistant than general purpose spiral-point taps. The taps have straight flutes with a spiral point that pushes chips in front of the tap as it moves into a hole and out the other side, eventually forcing the chips out of the hole. They create internal threads in through holes and are installed into a toolholder on a machine such as a lathe or CNC machine to operate.
